Engine & Transmission

Powering this 1951 Ford F100 is a GM Performance LSX 454 engine, delivering modern high-performance capability in a classic truck platform. The engine is topped with Borla eight-stack fuel injection, combining striking visual presence with responsive performance. Power is transferred through a 4L80E TCI 6X six-speed automatic transmission, providing strength, reliability, and smooth drivability. A fully polished, custom stainless exhaust system equipped with Borla XS mufflers completes the drivetrain, delivering both a refined tone and performance efficiency.

Chassis

The truck rides on a fully engineered Art Morrison chassis featuring independent front and rear suspension, dramatically improving handling, ride quality, and overall performance compared to the original platform. Braking performance is handled by Wilwood brakes, utilizing six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear to provide confident stopping power suited to the vehicle’s performance capabilities.

Body Modifications

Extensive custom metalwork reshaped nearly every aspect of the truck to create a refined and modernized silhouette. The body features a shaved cowl vent, custom running boards, and a one-piece custom front roll pan. The front fenders were extended, and the grille was sunken while the leading edge of the hood was laid back for improved proportions. Under the hood, custom panels and a fully fabricated firewall cleanly showcase the engine bay, complemented by custom hood hinges. The cab was stretched four inches, the roof was de-crowned, and the lower cab and rockers were extended to enhance overall stance and flow. Additional modifications include custom door hinges, one-piece windows, a shaved dash, a one-off Kindig-it bed, a custom rear chrome diffuser, Kindig-it Design bar-style door handles, and Greening taillights, all contributing to the truck’s cohesive custom identity.

Paint

The exterior is finished in AkzoNobel Modern Classikk “Bad Blood,” a deep, rich finish that emphasizes the truck’s refined bodywork and dramatic proportions. The paint highlights the extensive craftsmanship while delivering the high-level finish expected from a Kindig-it Design build.

Interior

The interior was crafted by JS Custom Interiors using “Stone” leather supplied by Hydes Leather, creating a sophisticated and modern cabin environment. Glide Engineering bucket seats provide comfort and support, while a one-off 1940 Ford steering wheel built by EVOD adds a unique vintage-inspired centerpiece. An Ididit tilt steering column improves ergonomics, and Dakota Digital Universal HDX gauges with a custom screen print offer a clean, contemporary display. Billet Specialties pedals add a performance touch, while Vibromat insulation reduces heat and noise for improved comfort. Steele Rubber seals and gaskets enhance fit and finish throughout, and a Vintage Air Gen IV system provides modern climate control.

Wheels & Tires

The F100 rides on Schott “Mod Sport Concave” wheels measuring 19x8 inches in the front and 21x13 inches in the rear, giving the truck an aggressive yet refined stance. These are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires sized 225/40R19 up front and 355/25R21 in the rear, delivering modern grip and performance handling.
