Engine & Transmission

GM Performance LSX 454 engine, bringing modern American performance to an iconic European platform. The engine is paired with a 6L90E six-speed automatic transmission, delivering smooth, reliable power transfer while maintaining drivability suited for both touring and performance use. A custom stainless exhaust system fitted with Borla mufflers provides a refined yet aggressive exhaust note that complements the vehicle’s performance character.

Chassis

The Gullwing rides on a Roadster Shop chassis, significantly enhancing structural rigidity, handling, and ride quality compared to the original configuration. Braking performance is elevated through Wilwood carbon ceramic rotors, utilizing six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear, providing exceptional stopping power and modern braking performance to match the upgraded drivetrain.

Body Modifications

The exterior modifications were carefully executed to preserve the timeless design of the Gullwing while subtly modernizing its functionality and refinement. Custom-machined headlight rings by Jessie Greening enhance the front lighting assemblies, paired with H4 conversion headlights for improved visibility. Exterior trim was handcrafted to closely resemble the original factory appearance, maintaining authenticity while elevating fit and finish through modern craftsmanship.

Paint

The car is finished in AkzoNobel Modern Classikk “Underslated,” a sophisticated color choice that enhances the Gullwing’s iconic body lines while delivering the depth and quality expected from a Kindig-it Design finish.

Interior

The interior was crafted by JS Custom Interiors, blending bespoke craftsmanship with classic design cues. Custom-built seats were designed specifically for the vehicle, complemented by a one-off EVOD steering wheel paired with an Ididit tilt steering column for improved ergonomics. Dakota Digital gauges were custom designed to resemble the factory instrumentation, maintaining vintage aesthetics while providing modern functionality. Vibro 2mm insulation was installed to reduce heat and noise, and a Vintage Air Gen IV climate control system ensures modern comfort and drivability.

Wheels & Tires

The Gullwing rides on one-off EVOD monoblock wheels measuring 19x13 inches in the front and 18x8 inches in the rear, creating a bold yet balanced stance. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires sized 235/30R18 in the front and 345/30R19 in the rear provide modern grip and performance while complementing the vehicle’s upgraded chassis and braking systems.
